1. Service Agreement:
By engaging our services, you (the client) agree to the terms outlined herein. This agreement encompasses handyman services; interior/exterior painting; deck/fence restoration; pressure washing; parking line striping; gutter cleaning/repairs; network/phone/fax cabling and support; electronics/appliances installation and more as described in the provided estimate or invoice.
2. Estimate and Pricing:
All estimates are based on the information provided and are subject to change if the scope of work is modified. Prices may also be adjusted in the event of unforeseen circumstances, such as the discovery of additional work required during the cleaning process.
3. Scheduling and Access:
We will work with you to schedule the services at a mutually agreed-upon time. Please understand that there is no set timeframe for the completion of services and several visits to the property may be required. You agree to ensure that access to the work area is unobstructed on the scheduled service date and to provide us with permission to visit the property with little or no notice to assess service needs prior to the date of service, as well as to check completion after services have been rendered. If there are any access restrictions or changes, please notify us in advance.
4. Water Usage:
We strive to use water efficiently during our services, and the client's cooperation in making water accessible is crucial for the completion of some of our services. For pressure washing, you agree to allow us to utilize your commercial or residential water source via outdoor spigot, which will be turned on and easily accessible on the date of service. If on well water, or if in an area with low water pressure or volume, we strongly suggest you cease all water consumption inside the home to include faucets, dishwashers, washing machines, outdoor sprinkler systems etc. Additional charges will be applied if water is not available.
5. Weather Conditions:
Some of our services are weather-dependent. We try our best to keep scheduling conflicts to a minimum, however, circumstances that are beyond our control may affect your project start and completion dates. You will be notified of any changes. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility in such situations.
6. Preparations and client’s responsibilities:
Please clear the work areas of any obstacles, fragile items, wall ornaments or debris. We will take utmost care, but your assistance in preparing the space is essential for a smooth and efficient service. For pressure washing lease have all windows & doors shut tightly. For your safety, as well as our own, you are responsible for keeping all children and pets, as well as other individuals, away from the work area. We suggest you utilize the property’s breaker box to shut off power to any and all exterior outlets, light fixtures, or any other electrically powered features. This is especially important to outlets that are not covered with exterior covers. Also, removing or opening any window screens will allow us to thoroughly clean window sills. Removal of these screens will also allow for even distribution of detergent and streak-free drying. It is also vital to the preservation of the Client’s property that they notify us of any surfaces that cannot be cleaned with high alkaline or acidic detergents.
7. Acknowledgment of Risks and Releases of Liability & Materials and Supplies
Power Washing uses high pressure and caustic chemicals to clean difficult stains off of exterior surfaces. Utilizing this pressure allows the best cleanness possible; however, operating at such high pressure can also cause damage. Streamline Appalachia, LLC’s technicians are well trained in utilizing their equipment and take the utmost precautions in making sure we do not cause harm to your property. Although high pressure is not used on residential siding, damage can still occur due to poor maintenance, neglect of the property, and/or low-grade building materials. Homeowners should consult with their homebuilder to ensure that their home’s materials are able to be pressure washed. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to ensure that their property has been maintained in accordance with its manufacturer’s recommendations and any defects or areas of concern are repaired prior to washing to ensure a watertight surface. The client assumes all these risks and takes responsibility for any damage that occurs due to the above explanations. On the date of service, we will walk around the property and, with the client, go over examination of any pre-existing damage. This is not all encompassing, as new damage can become apparent while the surfaces are being cleaned. When new damage is found, we will cease all cleaning efforts until the client can see the damage and acknowledge its existence.
The Client also agrees to release Streamline Appalachia, LLC of any or all liability for injuries sustained due to equipment placement to include injuries from tripping/falling, striking equipment, falling debris or equipment.
8. Payment Terms:
Payment is due upon completion of the services. We accept various forms of payment, including cash, check, or electronic payments. A $40 fee will be applied for all returned checks. Invoices will be provided upon request. For epoxy installation and painting services, a deposit of 50% of the total project cost is required before starting the job, with the remaining balance due upon completion. If the handyman is required to purchase materials or supplies, these costs will be added to the final bill. The client may choose to provide their own materials, but the handyman will not be responsible for any defects in these items.
9. Color and Tones Concerns:
While we take great care in our cleaning processes, clients should be aware that certain surfaces, especially siding and roofing materials, may have variations in color or tone due to factors such as age, weathering, oxidation or material composition. We cannot guarantee that all color discrepancies will be completely eliminated, but we will make every effort to enhance and revitalize the appearance of the surfaces. Please notify us if there are any surfaces on or near the home that cannot have any form of detergent on them. Otherwise, Streamline Appalachia, LLC will not be responsible for any ill effects to any surfaces regarding this matter.
10. Gutter Cleaning Service:
Our gutter cleaning service includes the removal of leaves, debris, and obstructions from gutters and downspouts and removal/cleaning/replacement of gutter guards. The service does not include repairs, painting, or replacement of gutters unless otherwise listed in the scope of work.
11. Cancellation and Rescheduling:
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 48 hours' notice. Cancellations with less notice may be subject to a $50 fee.
12. Satisfaction Guarantee:
We are committed to your satisfaction. If you are not completely satisfied with our services, please contact us within 48 hours of completion, and we will address any concerns promptly.
13. Liability:
While we take every precaution to ensure a safe and thorough cleaning process, we are not liable for damages to pre-existing conditions, fragile items, or any unforeseen issues that may arise during the service. We are not responsible for water intrusion during pressure washing service. While every effort is made to prevent this from happening, bad seals around windows and doors and cracks in concrete foundations can make this unavoidable.
13. Insurance:
We maintain comprehensive liability insurance for our services. Copies of our insurance certificate are available upon request.
By engaging our services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms and conditions. We appreciate the opportunity to serve you and look forward to enhancing the beauty of your property! If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us.
